APUSU Constitution & By-Laws SignedAsia Pacific University Sports Union (APUSU) Constitution and By-Laws signed in Bangkok The Asia Pacific University Sports Union (APUSU) held its first Executive Committee Meeting on April 2, 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. During the meet, new APUSU President Alvin Tai Lian of the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) and Secretary General Mustaza Ahmad of the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM) signed the APUSU Constitution and By-Laws during a simple ceremony at the Eastin Sathorn Hotel. Also present during the signing were observers from different countries and universities, including Solicitor Maria Luz Arzaga-Mendoza, an International University Sports Federation (FISU) legal committee member and APUSU CEO-Treasurer Graham C. Lim. Witnesses to the signing agreement included Cambodia’s Bou Chum Serey of Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, Dr. Eko Sukarso (Indonesia) of Asia University Basketball Federation (AUBF), and others dignitaries. Representatives of the APUSU’s corporate sponsors from the Philippines also attended the signing. They are retired Colonel Ariel Querubin, representating San Miguel Corporation; Ruel Daba, representating, Bestank Corporation; Megaworld Property Corporation’s Danilo Madlansacay; and Home Sport (Thailand)’s Suda Sansana. Other Philippine officials who showed up for the signing ceremony were Narotama Uiversity of Surabaya led by Andi Wiyono and Dimas Dharnurukma, Korean’s Park Hyun Mo, Denver Pagonzaga of Philippine College Foundation; Felix Tiukinhoy Jr. of Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.; University of Cebu College of Law Dean Baldomero Eztenzo, who was elected as one of the APUSU Vice Presidents along with Malaysia’s Prof. Dato Abdullah and Japan’s Dr. Mitsunami. A copy of the APUSU constitution and by-laws has been sent to the representatives of other countries that have been invited to join the APUSU, including the United States University Sports Federation, Fiji University Sport Association, Guam University Sport Federation and Canadian Interuniversity Sport, and take part in the succeeding editions of the Asia Pacific University Games (APUG).
